2008 Annual Research Conference - University of Ballarat
Funding & EventsThe University's annual one-day Research Conference will be held on Wednesday the 5th of November 2008.

The aim of the conference is to showcase the exciting research work being conducted by our higher degree by research students and early career researchers, and to promote the significance and applicability of this research knowledge to the national benefit.

Holsworth Wildlife Research Endowment
BiosphereHolsworth Wildlife Research Endowment (ACTA) invites applications by Universities for post-graduate student research support in the fields of ecology, wildlife management and natural history studies.

Grants of up to $7,500 will be awarded for the purchase of equipment, supplies, travel to study areas and conferences.

Closing dates: 1 May and 1 October each year.

CRC Review calls for program overhaul
General NewsThe Review of the Cooperative Research Centres Program, commissioned as part of the Reivew of the National Innovation System, has recommended that the program should be “refreshed, refocused and modified” and granted a “modest increase in funding”.
